Back in Tokyo - Harajuku

So I am a couple of days behind on the blog because we have been fairly busy and our air BnB place in Harajuku had appauling wifi so I couldn't upload anything.

Anyway we have had a busy couple of days being back in Tokyo.
We went to a dog cafe which was one of the best things ever and ofcourse we were both in heaven, especially when they bought out two one month old puppies and even a one week old pup!

After getting a bit refreshed the night before we headed off to see the Sumo's. Now it's really not a great idea to go to the Sumo's when you're sleepy and a tad hungover because you WILL fall asleep between bouts and then get woken up abruptly when someone wins and the crowd goes nuts.

Anyway today is our final day in Japan so I will post another blog tonight :)

See you all real soon

Kyoto day three

Today was exhausting!

We started the morning off with a visit to the Bamboo forest which was alright but you know... Just a whole lot of bamboo.

Then our trek began to the monkey park which sits on the top of a mountain.
Now I have never been a fan of hiking up mountains as most of you know from the Canada experience but seeing the monkeys was a big incentive to get to the top.

After a hike that felt like forever but was probably only 30 minutes or so we made it to the top and we're surrounded by wild monkeys.
It was really cool to see them just chilling in their own environment and when we wanted to feed them we were the ones in a cage not them for a change. See below for an abundance of monkey photos :)

Naturally we are fairly exhausted but just have to keep pushing on as we have some serious shopping to do tonight and when we get back to Tokyo tomorrow.

Kyoto - day one & two

We've been in Kyoto for about a day and a half now, originally we thought Kyoto was going to be pretty cruisey and relaxing but so far it has consisted of a lot of walking/roaming to find food, walking around temples, walking around shops.... You get the idea, a lot of walking which means aching feet.

Our first night was spent in a traditional Ryokan which was a really great experience. See the photos below 😀

Ohh we also visited another cat cafe which ofcourse was awesome.

Our second day here we headed to a couple of temples and some shops.
I'm keeping this fairly brief as the photos do Kyoto more justice than words, and we are about to do get dinner and I'm always excited for dins
